Nikon celebrated its 100th Anniversary this year and released a new camera, the D850, which is their most advanced Camera yet! On Friday, a magnificent event organized by Starlinks PR and Events took place in Marriott to celebrate Nikon’s 100 years and to unveil this beautiful camera.

The Event was attended by Celebrities, Dignitaries and International Nikon Employees and Marketing Directors from Singapore and the Middle East’s Regional Manager who spoke about Nikon’s journey and mission to promote local photographers and give them a chance to take even better pictures with this camera.

One of the guest speakers at this event was the super talented Tapu Javeri who talked about his journey as a photographer and how Nikon was always one of those cameras that he used to produce some of his best works including taking portrait pictures of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Nazia Hassan and many more celebrities and artists. Nikon also collaborated with Tapu and took him to Japan where he shot some remarkable photos in Tokyo and some of them were displayed during this event as well.
What’re the features of the D850?
Nikon-designed back-side illuminated (BSI) full-frame image sensor with no optical low-pass filter
45.7 megapixels of extraordinary resolution, outstanding dynamic range and virtually no risk of moiré
Up to 9 fps1 continuous shooting at full resolution with full AF performance
8K6 and 4K time-lapse movies with new levels of sharpness and detail
Tilting touchscreen, Focus Shift shooting mode, outstanding battery performance and much more
4K Ultra HD video recording, slow motion up to 120 FPS at 1080p
The lowest base ISO (ISO 64) of any DSLR or mirrorless camera
The D850 costs around $3,300 in North America so buyers can expect a slightly increased price around this figure. I’d recommend that only professionals should invest in this or those who are learning photography since it isn’t easy on the pocket, that’s for sure!
